Blast From the Past

When I saw the Givenchy Spring 2010 Couture collection, my mind went directly to the movie Funny Face. Some of the pieces in Givenchy's new line remind me so much of the dress that Givenchy designed for Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn were great friends, and Audrey always had Givenchy design her clothes for the movies she was acting in whenever it was possible. I love Audrey Hepburn's style and I'm also in love with Givenchy's designs. From the original designer to now, Givenchy is breathtaking.

    I love Audrey Hepburn's style, and Ricardo Tisci has done a wonderful job at Givenchy with keeping the brand classic without looking in the least dated.

    I loved that scene from funny face where she runs down the staircase in that dress, it's worth watching the movie again, and that bit about Givenchy and Hepburn was very interesting.
